Who we are
YA Foundation (Yemi Ademiluyi Foundation) runs cybersecurity awareness, training and community education programmes. Our office is at Block 28, Rotary Secretariat Road, LSDPC Isolo, Lagos. You can reach us at info@yafoundationglobal.org or 0802 832 0304.
What we collect
- Contact form: your full name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and message.
- Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you write.
- Technical records: our web host automatically records basic details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use them to keep the site working and secure.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run advertising trackers.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and tell you about programmes you asked about.
- To keep our website and email safe from abuse.
We do not sell your information.
The password and email breach checks
The password check runs inside your browser. Your password is never sent to us. To search for it, your browser sends only the first five characters of an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of the password to the Have I Been Pwned service, which returns a list of possible matches. The email check does not run on our site: it opens haveibeenpwned.com, where you enter your address on their site. We never see it.
Who else handles your information
- The online form service we use receives your message and passes it to our mailbox.
- Our web host and email provider store the website files, records and emails.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on our pages, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
These providers may process information outside Nigeria. We choose providers that protect data, and we share only what is needed.
Information stored in your browser
We save your light or dark mode choice in your browser's local storage, and a short note that the welcome animation has played. Both stay on your device. We do not use them to track you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@yafoundationglobal.org and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Children
Our sessions are open to the public. Please do not send us personal information about a child unless you are their parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date above.
